How To Install Custom Boot Animations [Android]

The directions below are for the app Root Explorer Download Here.

1. Download your favourite boot animation.zip & download to your phone
 

2. Open the Root Explorer App
 

3. Locate the boot animation zip in your downloads
folder
a. (/sdcard/Download/) or
b. (/sdcard/tapatalk_download/)
 

4. Verify the file name is “bootanimation.zip”.
a. Long Press on the boot animation zip file
b. Select Rename
c. Rename to “bootanimation.zip
 

5. Copy zip file to System/Media Folder
a. Long Press on bootanimation.zip
b. Select Copy
c. Select Parent Folder
d. Select Parent Folder again
e. Select System
f. Select Media
g. Press “Mount R/W” (If it says “Mount R/O”
Leave alone)
h. Select Paste
i. If an overwrite message pops up select
ok
 

6. Reboot
 

Flashable Zip File Instructions
 

1. Download flashable zip file to the phone
2. The download source will explain if its a
flashable zip or not
3. Power off the phone
4. Boot into your custom recovery
5. Flash the .zip File
6. Select “Install zip from sdcard”
7. Select “choose zip from sdcard >
8. Locate & Select the zip file> Select Yes
9. Reboot
