Description : Kundan (Dhanush) is a strong believer of God and a son of a Tamil priest. Since his childhood days, Kundan holds one-sided love for Zoya (Sonam Kapoor), who is a Muslim girl residing in Varanasi and her father is a professor. A teenage Kundan manages to woo Zoya into liking him back. When Zoya’s parents learn about this, they send her to Aligarh for higher studies. In the mean time, Kundan harmonizes with Zoya’s family, assisting them with various works especially pertaining to house. When Zoya returns after a gap of 8 years, it takes her some time to get friendly with Kundan. Unlike her, Kundan is still deeply in love with her. Zoya tells Kundan about her admission into Jawaharlal Nehru University and through her narration, the idealistic and political culture of the Delhi is explored. She discovers a long-lost strength as she confronts and then falls for student leader Akram (Abhay Deol) in Delhi.
